Renaissance Programs

Each teacher must update his/her own class(es) in the Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math, Accelerated Writer, Accelerated Vocabulary, Perfect Copy, STAR Reading, STAR Math, and STAR Early Literacy programs. There is a way to import data from one module to another; I’ll be happy to do an in-service to teach you how.

Please REMEMBER we had to change the administrator password last year because of a “breach of security”.  If you have forgotten the new password, see me and I’ll give it to you.

Don’t just close your pop-ups: Read them carefully! sometimes clicking the “’x” or clicking “no” actually means “yes” to the pop-up companies. They have carefully worded their message so that if you click what you THINK is going to make it go away, it actually installs or continues more pop-ups until you feel like you’ve gone to pop-up hell and you can’t get out.

WARNING!….WARNING!….DO NOT install search bars! Sometimes the search bars only mess up your ability to search effectively because of minor interference. But sometimes your RAM (Random Access Memory) is completely taken up by the search bar and you cannot open programs that you need.  Worst-case-scenario: in a classroom right here at Midway, an installed search bar caused a “fatal error” and the machine crashed. While Caddo’s technical service is BETTER, we still have to wait for help and, sometimes, nothing can be done to fix the machine except to send it away and have our tech guys wipe it clean!

Click the Repairs link above to access an electronic repair form. I MUST SUBMIT THREE NUMBERS to the repair technicians or they won’t honor the repair request: the Model #, the Service Tag #, and the Caddo/Title1/SpEd/CSRP tag #. If you don’t know what numbers to fill out, please click the link below for pictorial instructions. Fill out the form, click submit and your problem will be emailed to my Caddo mail account. I will follow up on the repair issue as soon as possible.
